About Ms. Hostetter
Ms. Hostetter began teaching in Las Vegas, where she earned her master's degree in Secondary English Education at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. While there, she studied teaching English to those for whom English is not the first language, and she also focused on learning how to write curriculum. She taught grades 7, 9, 10, 11 and 12 while there, all types of English writing and literature, and also ran the drama and journalism programs at Desert Pines High School in Nevada.
Prior to that, Ms. Hostetter attended the University of Georgia, where she graduated after three years with honors, a degree in English literature, and minors in both Spanish and psychology. She loved being a Bulldog and also appreciated the opportunity to study abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina during her time at UGA.
After Las Vegas, Ms. Hostetter taught in Beijing at the International Campus of Beijing No. 4 High School. She also taught at the AP/IB magnet school Paxon School for Advanced Studies in Florida, the American United School of Kuwait, and now, she enjoys life as a high school English teacher in Fuyang, China. She has taught all grades from 6-12 (middle and high school), and all levels from remedial English, ELL, mainline, and honors/gifted.
